This page results from several months of ferreting out the information from all over the Internet, and then trying to figure how to present it in its simplest and most obvious form. Your questions have already caused me to reissue a corrected diagram, as you see it now. As time passes, with your continued interest, it will become increasingly accurate.

You read it from the bottom up, as a progression profound truth church sign(very condensed) through the past ten thousand years of time. Religion has evolved, it makes plain, starting with mankind viewing even rocks as containing the forces of life, to the present, when life is regarded to be in possession of invisible and undetectable spirits and souls. As science advances human knowledge, religion will continue its evolution.

It cannot be stopped, no matter how hard the most dedicated will try to drag the whole of us back into the past with them. If they should succeed in spite of all being against them, humanity will suffer. Science and technology keeps us fed and secure in spite of our overpopulation. Billions (not just millions) will perish should that support factor suddenly end or its advancement be discontinued.

Beware what you wish for. It might come to pass, and you be one of its casualties.

"To deny a right to the experience of pleasure is immoral unless that denial can be justified by a valid presentation of how pain will result from that experience in an amount that would render the expected pleasure regrettable; or, if it can be shown that pain will be induced in others innocent of any involvement. The role of science in moral issues should be to test that, predict that, and find harmless ways to demonstrate that."

— L. H. Whitling in the eBook, Secular Morality
