Self-published author, Lloyd H. Whitling, now has a new book about a hot new subject, The Complete Universe of Memes, that tells how the universe began, why people act like they do, what makes them think they are right, and how it all might end.

Why Self Published? A number of us old timers have a book about what life has taught us, but don't feel capable to outlive a fruitless search for a publisher, and then wait for results to maybe appear on the market. We see few benefits to be had from the declining number of publishers who seem inclined to copy each other's offerings while avoiding new, possibly controversial ideas. Sure, there may be a small advance, but what else gets them to make us want to gamble that all the horror stories and rumors about them are untrue? No one nowadays studies strictly for the purpose of writing a book and makes his or her name originally with a commercial publisher. Even Benjamin Franklin found it best to do it himself.
