Rimmer wrote a bunch of books to draw our attention to disparities between our modern claims to personal freedom and the real thing. He's most certainly not the only one to question dogmatic values imposed on all of us by our memes-inspired brethren, most of which, in one way or another, serve vested interests of large and ancient commercial enterprises. The plundering memes, of which I wrote in Reality 101 and The Complete Universe of Memes have extorted from us certain rights which make it necessary to live in ways, and do in ways, that allow a large percentage to be extracted from the contents of our wallets. I have never failed to be amazed at how the very people who have the most to lose by doing so seem to be the ones most anxious to carry out the dirty work for these memes. The poorest of any culture, deprived by these memes of all hopes and all dreams, choose to perform the suicide missions designed to pull even more people into the downward spirals of diseased impoverishment and human dregs. And yet, we don't choose to try to show them how they could live better and learn to enjoy life. We go, instead, to kill them. The memes we serve are pretty much like theirs and, but for the protections built into our form of government, we would live the same as they.
