The concepts behind
Reality 101
(and The
Complete Universe of Memes) are really very simple, providing
the reader accepts and understands certain verifiable sets of facts.
In today's world even the most backwardly educated among us
owns a good grasp on the notion of matter as being composed of atoms and
molecules, like little combinations of worlds that
make
up everything we consider to be 'existence'. We know about that, but don't
give it much thought. It's just another part of reality.
We spend a lot of years inside the boxes at our churches
and our schools, to learn about reality, and it mostly bores us. Besides,
we hear at least two opposing stories day after day until we no longer
want to think about it. We know what we have to, to survive. Why bother
with anything else?
This little book takes a turn away from the norm to show
you a view of our existence that makes it so plain and easy that you'll
feel like you must be missing the point. How could something that has
always been so complex be boiled down to the obvious in such a manner?
You'll ask yourself that. You'll wonder why it took so long. You'll wonder
why this book has not been either raised to acclaim or else banned and
condemned by now. How could its author say such things without stirring up
a nest of hornets?
There is only one way to find out, because there are people
you could ask, but they aren't about to answer. Get it here:

NEW!
It is fine, a lot of people argue, to look at everything
according to logical rules but what, they ask, is the place of emotions? I
believe the true role of emotions has been thwarted by artificial concerns
in the cultures now predominant in today's world. Everything I do and
write is devoted to the cause of personal freedom, the great ideal that
America supposedly stands for. What makes this ideal important to me is
not a belief in God, nor that everybody is born deserving it, nor some
other tear-jerking assumption on which ideals get based. Science (the
ultimate way to ask questions and get useful answers) can ask the right
questions and study the best ways each of us can EARN greater personal
freedom. Science composes its questions by following several well-known
time-worn and time-proven rules. Scientists realize their answers are
always tentative and subject to further study and refinement; for that
reason alone, science is the only safe method by which to determine
standards to live by, and the only way to arrive at a universal set of
practices which all can accept as just,
providing we all can understand them, and providing we all actually
attempt to do that.
Our emotions—our so-called 'spiritual needs'—are best
satisfied by achievement of constructive aspirations. Each little step of
accomplishment that takes us one more notch toward successful attainment
of a lifetime aim, each thrilling epiphany and paradigm shift that enables
us to focus upon a chosen reason for our being, each drop of
understanding we gain by wringing it out of hiding in our environs, all of
which enables us to more cogently tell the tale of our true beings, make
those artificial constructs so closely guarded by our apathetic, dominated
peers that much less satisfying and real.
We need healthy-minded people driven to learn how to right
all the wrongs that have been imposed on humanity, and all the thwarting
of our mentalities that resulted in the apathy most of us feel toward this
subject. We need aspirations, not condemnation. We need hope, and a real
chance at life, not wishful thinking and regrets. My own personal aim in
life is to enable myself to explain all of this in ways that everybody can
easily grasp, perceive, and comprehend in spite of all the ramifications
of whatever it represents.
